So How about a little about me, the Author. My name does change from Emily L. Davis to MLE Sterling halfway through the series, but I assure you there’s a story behind that. I’m not quite ready to share that yet, but once I can, I will.
I’m actually dyslexic. I was a lot worse when I was younger; I was way behind in my reading skills. But with mom’s help, I got into a tutoring program that taught me how to work with my dyslexia. While I’m still a slow reader, and I prefer listening to books, I’ve since fallen in love with books and the stories that other authors have sent out into the world.
I grew up on stories like The Last Unicorn, The Dark Crystal, The Hobbit, and Never Ending story. And as I grew up, I couldn’t help but wonder: Where are the myths and legends that inspired these amazing stories? The movies today are all so lacking in imagination and creativity that I wonder if we’ve lost sight of the real magic behind the stories.
That’s why I started witing Guardians and Keepers of Myth and the stories accompanying it. The world of Myth is where all of Earth’s legends went when magic stopped flowing here. You’ll find legends from all over the world on Myth, and with the world of Myth being so large, I welcome the idea of fanfics! While I can’t endorse those fanfics becoming more than fanfics, and while I cant read them… I’d love to hear how others are willing to add to The World of Myth in thier own magical way. Though, that’s a dream for down the line.
